A false ceiling is the second ceiling after the main ceiling, which is generally made of gypsum board, PVC panels, tiles, etc.There is a gap between the main ceiling and the false ceiling. The false ceiling is a great idea to improve soundproofing systems in big halls and auditoriums. The gap between the main and false ceiling depends on the floor height. The false ceiling not only improves the appearance of your room but also is very helpful for hiding unwanted wires and pipes. In many shops, they keep as much gap as they can, between the main ceiling and the false ceiling. They use these vacant places as storage.

1. Pop False Ceiling:
The full form of pop false ceiling is plaster of pairs. It is widely used in homes, offices, and showroom interiors. Pop is a form of gypsum solution. At first, gypsum is heated until all water evaporates from gypsum, and powder is left behind. Then the powder is mixed with water to mold into different forms and shapes and then left to dry
Pop False Ceiling will give you excellent finishing. And another advantage is that you can make it into any kind of shape by using it. They are lightweight and durable. There is a disadvantage of using the pop false ceiling a lot of pop mixture is wasted during the process.
2. Gypsum False Ceiling:
Gypsum’s false ceiling is made with a gypsum board. A Gypsum board is usually a squares shape board placed by the support of a metal frame. In Bangladesh gypsum false ceiling is used widely because it is very economical and easy to install. The Gypsum board is quite flexible. It is available in different shapes and designs such as plain stepped, dropped, etc.
3. Wooden False Ceiling:
A false ceiling is a sure-shot way to increase the aesthetic appeal of your place. Wood is one of the materials which are widely used for false ceilings. It can be used in combination with other materials like gypsum, pop, metal, glass, etc. Wooden false ceilings are available in many patterns and textures. You can get them painted by your choice.
If you compare wood with other false ceiling materials, we can see that wood is comparatively expensive. More importantly, a wooden false ceiling is suitable for cold weather as a result wooden false ceiling is not ideal for a Bangladeshi home or office interior. Besides this wood has a great chance of getting attacked by insects.
4. Material False Ceiling:
Metal is a durable false ceiling material. It will enhance the beauty of your room with its sophisticated appeal. In market material, a false ceiling is available in the form of aluminum and galvanized iron. Material false ceiling is suitable for fire resistance. This is an ideal choice for home and commercial spaces where safety is highly concerned.
5. Fabric or Cloth false ceiling
Fabric ceilings can be used for temporary purposes in churches, Yoga rooms, restaurants, or functional halls. Fabric false ceiling is very economical. It is easy to install, People who have limited experience can also install this type of false ceiling. You can’t use it as a permanent solution to your home décor, because it is will get dirtier with every passing day.
